Region A The Original >

Region A ,The Original
Region A consists of 4 clubs located in Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia. These clubs share a common interest in competitive 4x4 racing. There are tracks located in Somerset PA, Apollo PA, Erie PA and Parsons WV. These clubs hold events ranging from sand drags and mud bogs to Obstacle course racing and Wheel-2-Wheel racing. Events are held throughout the summer months starting in May and ending in October.
Our membership, although primarily interested in racing, welcome everyone interested in the diversity of the 4x4 community. We invite everyone to join us at our events and see what we are doing. Our clubs offer great venues to spectate, camp and compete.
Since the inception of East Coast Region A has been primarily and almost exclusively for the competitor. The Region is looking to add trail riding clubs to our roster and welcome any club interested in the promotion of organized four wheeling. Whether it is racing or trail riding we feel that strength is in numbers and membership to an organization that promotes resposible four wheeling is a plus for all of us regardless of what our interests are.
If you have questions please contact any of our club presidents or Region Officers and we will try to get the answers you need. Come out to an event at one of our venues and take a look for yourself. Ask some questions and get involved if you like we'll be glad to see you!!

Racing In Our Region
Region A clubs are offering a number of competitive events this upcoming 2003 Season. Our club in West Virginina, The Tucker County 4 Wheelers is hosting thier "24th Annual Challenge in the Hills to be held may 24 and 25th Memorial Day weekend. This track is nestled in the scenic Blackwater River Valley in Parsons WV. The competition includes sand drags on Saturday and Mud Pit action on Sunday. Camping for the weekend is available and although primitive in nature a good time is had by all. Visit thier website for great pics and info at www.tc4x4.com .

The Erie County Mudmushers offer monthly one day events held on the 2nd Sunday of June, July, August and September. They include uphill drag races, obstacle course and mud pit all in that same action packed day. This is a great venue for the street stock guys and gals to show what thier vehicles can do on a variety of courses.

Our oldest club the Fayette County Four Wheelers have a track located outside of Somerset PA. This venue includes, sand drags, obstacle course, wheel 2 wheel and mud bogs. One and two day events are held starting in May and continuing through September. The 2 day events offer primitive camping and a variety of events are scheduled.

The newest club to our Region is Holeshot Racing. This club co-sponsors 4 mud bogs at a track located near Apollo PA. These one day events held on Sundays are are great place to test out the new tires on your door slammer or blow out the dust from that Big Truck you only play with.

That wraps up our tracks, check the East Coast Schedule for the dates of our events and contact information. All of our venues offer concession stands and porta johns and seating in a safe area. We stress that these are "family" type events and we hope that our spectators conduct themselves appropriately. Come out and join us !!
