EC4WDA Club Level Representation
President in accordance with the members of the
club, the President of each club generally schedules and
coordinates the activities of the club. The actual duties of each
club president may vary from club to club.
Treasurer: not much
explanation needed here !
Recording Secretary: Records, organizes,
and distributes the minutes of club meetings.
Membership Secretary: Maintains current
membership roster, and forwards dues to club treasurer, and
Region Membership Secretary.
Rules Representative : Each club rules
person represents his/her club at the semi-annual region
meetings. During these meetings, rules issues are discussed. When
necessary, a sub-committe may be formed to present an issue at
the annual association meeting.
Sanctioning Representative : The
sanctioning person represents their club at the region
semi-annual meetings and at the annual EC4WDA meeting.
Contributes to the finalizing of the safety requirements for the
sanctioned cometitive meets. If your club is holding a sanctioned
event, you will be the person to sanction that event. You may
also be asked to assist in sanctioning a neighboring club's
event.
Delegates: Represent their club at the
EC4WDA semi-annual region meetings and the annual association
meeting. The delegate brings to these meetings their club's
suggestions and opinions. Delegates are the only persons with
VOTING powers at the EC4WDA general meetings.
Stand-By: Serves as a liason between a
four wheeler passing through an unfamiliar area and a four
wheeler who lives in that particular area. He can be assured of
any kind of assistance, bit it emergency repairs, directions, or
four wheeling outside his own area.
Land Use & Community Services : Works
with the Region Land Use Chairman and with the EC4WDA Land Use
Chairman toward opening and preseration of lands we use as four
wheelers. Much effort is put into community service at the club
level to promote good will toward four wheeler.
EC4WDA Region Level Representation
Every two years, at the Region Meetings, club members vote to elect
Officers to various positions within the Region. Region positions
voted on are:
Most "job descriptions" of the Region Officers are quite similar to the descriptions listed above under Club Representation. The Chairman of each Region also serves on the EC4WDA Executive Board. Region officers provide support and resources to the member clubs in their regions. In turn, Region Officers obtain support and resources from the appropriate Executive Board Chairman.
EC4WDA Association Level Representation
The EC4WDA Executive Board is an ELECTED body. With the exception of the
Region Chairmen, who are elected by the members of their
particular region, the Executive Board is elected by the
membership body. Executive Board elections are held once every
